The ANGER SP2-P is a versatile machining center designed for 4- or 5-axis double machining of large-volume components. Equipped with two independent spindles, it offers the flexibility to process either two components simultaneously or a single large component with a maximum length of 3,600 mm and a disturbance circle of 1,200 mm.
An integrated pallet changer allows for real-time loading and unloading, whether in fully automated operation or via manual loading, thanks to its ergonomic design.
The machine’s efficiency and flexibility are enhanced by zero-point clamping systems, tool magazines with a capacity of up to 61 tools per spindle, and a spacious clamping bridge—making the ANGER SP2-P a powerful solution for the automotive industry.
Key Advantages:
Flexible Automation & Seamless Integration

The ANGER SP2-P integrates various machining technologies into a streamlined process, enhancing productivity and efficiency. Capabilities include:

The ANGER SP2-A is designed for maximum efficiency in processing extruded aluminum profiles. Its innovative dual-bridge design allows simultaneous loading and unloading on one bridge while the other bridge is actively machining. The second clamping bridge swivels into the machining area in under 2 seconds, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless productivity.
Each tool alternates between both clamping bridges, effectively halving the number of tool changes and optimizing the processing sequence to significantly reduce non-productive times.
Exceptional Flexibility & Precision
Equipped with independent spindle systems, the ANGER SP2-A allows:
Highly Efficient Processing Strategies
The ANGER SP2-A eliminates previous limitations of dual-spindle machining through its dual A-axes configuration. With independent programming and control of both traveling columns, spindles, A-axes, and clamping systems, the machine offers entirely new processing strategies with drastically reduced non-productive times.
Optimized Tool Utilization & Maximum Load

Both A-axes can be loaded from the underside and top side, depending on the project requirements, profile geometry, and processing scope. This configuration minimizes tool changes by allowing four A-axis sides to be traversed in succession with a single tool, achieving optimal cycle times, especially for complex parts requiring multiple tools.
Seamless Integration into Fully Automated Production Lines

The ANGER SP2-A is built to excel in fully automated production environments. Its design allows a loading and unloading robot to operate within the machine during active machining, without interrupting the process. The machine’s positive locking system between the two A-axes and the top and bottom structures enables continued operation even when the roller shutter is open. For operations requiring a tilted A-axis, the automatic roller shutter ensures safe and reliable protection within the production hall.
Standardized Machine Construction Kit
All ANGER SP series machines share a unified design, standardized control systems, and a high degree of interchangeable parts. This consistency streamlines production, simplifies spare parts management, and reduces throughput times for both manufacturers and customers, even when using a mix of machine types.

The ANGER SP2-D is a versatile 4- or 5-axis machining center designed for double machining of large-volume components. With two independent processing units, it offers the flexibility to either simultaneously machine a single large component or process different parts independently. The expansive working area provides maximum flexibility for process design and machining operations.
Optimized for Large Components

Featuring a clamping bridge of approximately 3,600 mm in length and a disturbance circle of 1,200 mm, the ANGER SP2-D is ideally suited for machining large components such as cast or welded battery trays. Its design prioritizes machining efficiency, making it particularly effective for operations involving long machining cycles. This model supports both fully automatic operation with robots and manual loading and unloading, depending on production requirements.
Direct A-Axis Loading for Versatile Operation

Equipped with a single continuous A-axis, the ANGER SP2-D supports direct loading. While parallel loading and unloading during main time are limited in automatic mode, the machine provides the flexibility for manual or automatic loading/unloading on the top and/or bottom side of the bridge as needed.
Efficiency Focused on Long Machining Cycles

The ANGER SP2-D excels in applications where long machining cycles for complex components significantly outweigh the handling time during loading and unloading. As a result, this model offers a cost-effective, streamlined solution within the SP machine series while maintaining exceptional overall efficiency.
Multi-Step Processing Capability
The machine’s spacious machining area and 1,200 mm disturbance circle enable the processing of very large structural components and simultaneous loading of the upper and lower sides of the machining bridge. For example, you can clamp two components for OP10 on the upper side of the bridge while simultaneously clamping two additional components for OP20 on the lower side.

The ANGER HCX Turnkey Systems are engineered to deliver precisely tailored solutions that meet each customer’s unique requirements. Every plant is designed, constructed, and automated according to the specific parts being produced, ensuring maximum efficiency and accuracy. This high-performance approach results in exceptionally short cycle times and unparalleled output rates.
Depending on the complexity of the workpiece, a single ANGER HCX machine can achieve a cycle time and output equivalent to at least two double-spindle BAZ systems. When compared to single-spindle BAZ systems, one HCX machine can effectively replace 4 to 8 machining centers, significantly boosting productivity and reducing operational costs.
